Hello 'Der_Massif',
The topic of locking differentials is an interesting discussion - it is something about which I too would like to make some progress, in terms of finding more information and also, making them available to others.
The original differentials did not come from Ashcrofts, but almost certainly came from KAM. Certainly, the original locking mechanism is a KAM product. Unfortunately, KAM are no longer in business, in anything but name (they were bought out by AllMakes4x4) and so there is no supply from them.
As others have mentioned, the front is very closely aligned to a standard Land Rover setup and so you should find several locking options.
For the rear , it is more difficult to find a suitable locking . ARB did / do have one available, but I have read that they are no longer in production - though I have yet to confirm this information 100%. Some ARB resellers still have stock but there is a question mark about the long term availability of replacement parts for this ARB rear locking . It would be an expensive purchase, to not be able to repair in the future.
I will try to research this in more detail and reply when I know more.
I will also look at whether genuine Santana / Iveco locking differentials / parts are still available - if they are, then I should be able to source and supply them.
John

Hi John,
Thank you for going to the trouble of trying to understand our discussion in German!

That's new information for me and, of course, very relevant for making a decission!

That would be great - much appreciated!
I'm really rather stuck here, as I lack the in-depth technical expertise to ascertain whether a specific product that is e.g. recommended for the Land Rover, would actually fit the Massif.
And as I would need both the front and the rear , ideally one manufacturer would have to offer both kinds...

No problem at all - I am very grateful that you all tolerate me replying in English! :-D

Do you really need the front differential? Or just would like to have it? Remember, when in 4H or 4L, the front and rear propshafts are locked together, so they must rotate at the same speed. If a rear locker is fitted, then the left and right rear half shafts are locked together and must also rotate at the same speed.
In this scenario, it's unlikely that you might become stranded (even if 'cross-axled') despite the front half shafts still being able to rotate at different speeds to each other. In fact, it's mostly preferable to allow the front half shafts to rotate at different speeds from each other, so that it's still possible to operate the steering and turn the vehicle! Only in very specific (normally, straight line) circumstances is it useful to lock a front , when a rear is already locked. And, it's strongly recommended to not lock a front without also having the rear locked - again, except in very specific, perhaps esoteric circumstances.
Unfortunately for us, the rear lock is the more difficult problem for us to solve :-(
According to ARB, these are their locking parts numbers for the PS10 (and Massif):
Front Lock: RD127 (this fitment is common to some LR vehicles)
Rear Lock: RD126 (this is specific to our vehicle)
This is the link to ARB's current technical / spares document for the ARB RD127 which appears to still be in production.
This is the link to ARB's current technical / spares document for the ARB RD126 which states that it is no longer in production and some parts are no longer available. The resellers don't mention this when taking your money!
I will keep you updated with any progress I make and any more information that I glean.
John

Good question! I think it is a bit of a combination of both in my case... I sure would like to have it and also see it as a safety reserve if faced with an extreme situation somewhere in the middle of nowhere, when you need all the traction you can possibly get...
But I sure agree that the Massif is already well equiped with the existing "middle locker" and one on the rear axis.
