Dear all,

May I request one of you to translate the following pages for me ?

I tried babelfish but many words are not translated and some times I am not able to understand the sentences.

By the way- when we drove back from Poland we saw a Tempo Trax from the DLRG which is the "German Lifesaving Company" with a huge Boat Trailer behind!

Founded over 50 years ago, Bajaj first produced vehicles from Tempo in Germany (aka Hanomag) and therefore since 1976 it’s connected to Mercedes. Since the early 80th Bajaa develops cars under his own name, equipped with Mercedes engines for the whole Indian / Asian market. Multi purpose vehicles like tractors and spare parts for Mercedes. At the end of the 80th Bajaj started to develop the Trax due to concerns of the India Military with the Landrover. Together with experts form Mercedes and the aim of the Indian Military to get a very strong liable car the Trax has been launched. The Trax should work under extreme climatic conditions like 5500 meter altitude in Himalaya and temperatures lower than -50 degrees and deserts with more than +54 degrees. And it does…
And so it has been named after the famous Gurkha Special forces.
More than 60000 Trax have been shipped to the Indian Military since 1995 and even more as a normal civil version.
At the 1999 DEFENSE-EXPO, a military exhibition in New Dehli the Trax has been shown very successfully to Military from other countries.
In contrast to his technical highly developed relatives in Austria the Gurhka has been developed only for professional use in heaviest grounds and even fully loaded it works without any problems (see test in Off-Road 12/97)

There a 4 different models of the Trax available: Short/long base, Pickup, Double Cabin.
But even special requests from the clients can be handled.
It can handle trailers up to 3750 kg and more than 1 ton pay load on road and 2 tons off road even with the short base.

The max speed is 125 km/h and the consumption is about 13 l Diesel

The new Mercedes Turbo Diesel Motor has 90 hp and a torque of 180nM at 2000 U/min
It is famous for his performance and liability.

The Trax has Euro III and can be used without any problems in Germany and Austria and later on in Swiss and Italy.
It has a Mercedes truck gearbox, Coil Springs and a very strong frame and heavy duty trranfer gear. Most of these components are build in India under the licence of Bosch, Hella and other well known brands. The Turbo charger is Made in Germany.

The performance of the Gearbox and other parts are so outstanding good that they even be exported to be used in Mercedes G-Models in Europe and therefore there are no problems to get spare parts and service can be done in every Mercedes Workshop worldwide.
